WHAT A TRAGEDY: JENNIFER HUDSON'S FAMILY FOUND DEAD!

When I first heard that former American Idol finalist Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were killed I didn't even believe it. Her 7 year-old nephew was also missing until yesterday when police found his dead body in a SUV. Three family members murdered!!!! My heart goes out to Jennifer Hudson at this time of grief. Police have yet to discover a motive or a potential killer. It is projected that the killer knew the family because there was no sign of forced entry into her mother's home. This happened in Chicago's West Side.

ELECTION FRAUD: VOTING MACHINES THAT VOTE FOR YOU

I recently watched an HBO special that blew my mind. It was a documentary type special talking about the inefficiency of the Diebolt voting systems that are used in the United States as the official voting system. Although the program was years old... it was my first time seeing and hearing about it. I knew there were some allegations when Gore didn't win, but I didn't know to what extent. This short film educated me in all of thirty minutes.
It showed proof of how the voting system can be rigged to automatically change votes! The "computer wiz" rigged the disk in which the votes are saved to in the machine. There were a group of people who were told to vote on a specific thing so that it could be shown that the results could be change within seconds. When the ballots were printed off, half of the votes had been switched with no way of being able to tell. The group of (pretend) voters were shocked and so was I. The most shocking part is that these systems have been proven to be hackable but we continue to use them.
My question is why is this not on the front of news papers and the headline of the news? Why has this information been hiding from me for years? Why is HBO, a channel that the typical home does not have, the only place to find such information? I have so many questions and so little answers.

Nine Days Until the Election

With only nine days left until the big election, the candidates are campaigning like crazy. It seems as though both candidates have the confidence and believe that they are going to win. According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, McCain said, "I'm going to win it." Obama replied by saying that his rival is "running out of time." As the election winds down, it appears that lately the candidates have just been taking "stabs" at each other. There have been several commercial ads bashing each other, and even the debates had turned into "fighting matches" it seemed. This is the most important election in many of our lives. With only nine days to go, please vote and help this country make history.

Alcohol on High School Grounds

There was an article in the newspaper today about three employees of LaFayette High School and a Georgia councilman being arrested for possession of alchohol on school grounds. This, to me, is unbelievable! I don't understand how grown men can act so irresponsibly. These men are suppose to be setting an example for the children in that community and those attending that high school. What kind of example is drinking on a high school campus setting? Sure, we all do things we regret and act in ways that are irresponsible, but isn't there an age when you realize that you are crossing over the line?

Suspect or Victim?

Recently, there was a shooting in Chattanooga in which a 16-year-old male was killed and his 19-year-old friend was injured. This occured after the victims and another friend entered a home with masks and guns. The person who was in the house used self-defense and shot at them, which later took the 16-year-old's life. The person in the house who was acting in self-defense is the only person who has been charged so far in this case, in which he was charged with Criminal Homicide. He wasn't charged with Criminial Homicide because of the simple fact that he killed someone but because he didn't report the crime and was on the run. I'm finding myself asking many questions about this situation. I have only been hearing people take up for the two men and saying how they were innocent and made a simple mistake. I have sympathy for the 16-year-old's family but I don't find myself having any sympathy for the 19-year old. I'm wondering why he hasn't been charged with home invasion. He has changed his story numerous times and still he has not been charged. Why wasn't he charged with having a 16-year-old involved in a home invasion? Even though the 16-year-old may have had his own mind, it is still the same as someone getting in trouble for buying alcohol or cigarettes for a minor. The person inside the house should be charged with Criminal Homicide but I believe ONLY because he didn't report it immediately and went on the run like he had something to hide. Who is to say that he wasn't in the right by using self-defense toward three men who had masks on and were armed with guns. I feel that the 19-year-old should be charged with home invasion and have some responsibility for having the 16-year-old with him.So with this situation, who is the REAL victim and who is the suspect?
